Ambler is a dog walking route guide for Stamford and the surrounding villages. We help dog owners discover, plan and share local walks. These terms govern your use of the Ambler app and website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Ambler, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using Ambler you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Outdoor Activity Disclaimer
Walking outdoors carries inherent risks. You use Ambler and follow any route entirely at your own risk.
- Route data may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Terrain, paths, gates, stiles, livestock and water levels can change without notice.
- Weather and ground conditions vary — always check before setting out.
- Always carry an Ordnance Survey map and a means of communication.
- Keep dogs under control, follow the Countryside Code, and respect livestock and wildlife.
Ambler is a guide, not a substitute for proper preparation and judgement.
5. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (route suggestions, photos, ratings, condition reports, comments). By submitting it, you grant Ambler a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content within the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share anything you upload.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- No unlawful, abusive, harassing or hateful content.
- No trespassing onto private land or ignoring access restrictions.
- No spam, scraping, or automated access to the service.
- No misrepresenting route safety or conditions.
- No interfering with the service or other users' accounts.
7. Intellectual Property
All original content on Ambler — including route descriptions, curated route data, branding, design and code — is copyright © Ambler 2024. The route data and app design are proprietary. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution or commercial use is prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Ambler and its operators accept no liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of the service or any route. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
